Molecular mechanism of BR regulating photomorphogenesis in plants

Prof. Dawei Zhang, School of Life Sciences, Sichuan University.

Published more than 70 papers in Developmental Cell, The EMBO Journal, The Plant Cell, New Phytologist, Plos Genetics, Plant Journal, Plant Biotechnology Journal and other journals. Received funding from the Ministry of Education's Academic Newcomer Award Fund, presided over the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund, 3 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, Sichuan Province Applied Basic Research Project, Sichuan University Outstanding Youth Project, Sichuan University Youth Science and Technology Leaders Cultivation Project, participated in The National Key Basic Research and Development Program (973 Program) project, the National Natural Science Foundation key project, the general project, the Ministry of Education's doctoral program priority funding field fund project. The twelfth batch of reserve candidates for academic and technical leaders in Sichuan Province, the Sichuan University Double Hundred Talents Category B, the 2020 Sichuan University Academic Newcomer Award. Editorial board member of BioCell and the Journal of Biology.

Mainly engaged in the research of plant BR signal pathway, photosynthesis and cyanide-resistant respiration. The research content mainly explains the response of cyanide-resistant alternating respiratory oxidase AOX to light signals, and the effect of AOX on chlorophyll synthesis and photosynthesis. Study the important regulators of BR signaling pathway, reveal the molecular mechanism of BR signaling regulating gene expression and regulating plant biotic/abiotic stress resistance.
